Another exciting competition well done to ayrshire flyers for a great day, Kristopher inglis came 1st in his catogory and achieved 3 personel best in each of the 222m 333m and 500m well done. ben macfarlane did compete with his injury and did great (he could not do any cross overs)well done ben, andrew henderson came 2nd in his catogory and achieved 2 p.bs in the 222m and 500m and also achieved a d.q in one of his finals for false starting, greg ireland came 2nd in his catogory and a p.b in 1000m well done greg, claire pirie came 4th in her catogory and also got 2 p.bs in the 500m and 1000m well done claire, murray cochrane achieved 2 p.bs murray fell in the 2nd lap of superfinal having came 1st in all his heat finals and came 6th overall. well done again to all skaters
another great competition and its only the start of the season, ben macfarlane was injured after a fall in his first race and had to pull out, i hope he is making a speedy recovery, andrew henderson came 2nd overall bringing home a silver medal and a p.b in the 333m, well done andrew, kristopher inglis came 1st in his catogory bringing home gold well done kristopher, murray cochrane came 2nd in his catogory coming home with a silver medal, greg ireland got a p.b in the 1000m and came 4th overall, claire pirie our only girl came 5th overall.scott anderson our only senior skater skated well and came 4th overall. well done to all skaters.
murray cochrane travelled to belgium to compete in this competition, murray came 3rd bringing home his 1st european medal, well done murray, a big thanks to lorraine and stewart logan who allowed murray to travel with them.
claire pirie competed in this competition she came 19th overall well done claire, a big thank you to billy and fiona scott who took claire over with them,
A very good turn out for dundee open this year skaters from nottingham, sheffield, solihull and our neighbours stirling and irvine entered, this event was a success and hopefully the start of many, Many thanks to Stewart miller and kevin waite without them this event would not be possible, also many thanks to the officals Gordon barnes, peter worth, alex mcgow, lorraine logan and benny mccormack, also would like to thank all other officals who helped out, dundee ice arena management and staff thank you for your help and great entertainment in the evening, Results of dundee open

claire pirie went to chamonix last week for a 7 day camp followed by a competition, claire suffered sunstroke, but carried on representing dundee like a true star she is, claire came home with a trophy for cycling, and had a great time, this is one of many competitions that are coming up in europe, claire is hoping to attend more, we wish her all the very best.
